Our vision is rooted in a commitment
to academic excellence, building faith and moral character, leadership
development and community service. The Rapid City Catholic School
System has a long tradition of fulfilling these commitments in the
lives of our students. We do so in a caring Christian community
of students, faculty and staff.
Strong growth trends and recognized academic performance call
for new investments in making quality education in the
Catholic tradition even stronger. We want it to be more available
to Catholics and others who seek values driven, faith based education
for their children.
In 2002, Bishop Blase Cupich convened over one
hundred parents, teachers, students, administration and community
leaders in a strategic planning process for the future of The Rapid
City Catholic School System. The vision and plan that emerged is
a clear expression of our core commitments and a roadmap for the
future. To achieve our goals for students we must take steps
to retain top personnel, keep our program affordable and provide
facilities worthy of the high standards we continue to achieve.
